The staff was wonderful and extremely accommodating; we became friends. The property is charming with great sea views. Rooms are newly done, fresh and spotless. Bathrooms are beautiful and totally functional. We highly recommend it.
It is a charming hotel with friendly, helpful staff located very close to the centre of Amalfi. The interior is attractive, with white walls and colourful tiles, and the shower and other facilities are excellent. The breakfast terrace has a wonderful view over the sea. I would definitely recommend it.
Make sure you inform the manager of your arrival time as staff are not always on site.
This was a fabulous place to stay, recently renovated and so comfortable. The 96 stairs to the hotel were challenging but charming and most hotels had stairs that had to be travesered.Amalfi is a charming place and the accomodation was appreciated.
They let us check in early and upgraded our room to a sea view for no extra charge. The room was really spacious and beautifully decorated and close to the beach and everything. Accommodated our early check out time by providing us breakfast outside of normal breakfast time.
Wi fi was really slow on the second night. The breakfast was all sweet like croissants with jam, chocolate spread, fruit, biscuits and yoghurt. Needed some sliced meats or cheese to break it up a bit.
The hotel had an excellent location. It is a beautiful building with a great sea view from our room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean which is very important.
I don't have any real complaints but could still make the following comments. There could have been a little more choice of healthier options for breakfast. It would have been nice to have internet access in the rooms, not only the reception area. The pillow in the bed was very high and hard, but when I complained I got another one immediately.
Fresh white walls, lovely tiled floors. Pretty breakfast area with orchids plus an outdoor terrace. Good location not far from Piazza del Duomo.
Hard to find initially and the 70 or so steps with a suitcase were hard work. Worth it though.
We had a wonderful week in Croce di Amalfi. The large rooms with airco are very clean and beautiful, and the beds are good and long enough for long persons. We travelled with two children, and had connected rooms (number 5 and 6) with 2 bathrooms (about 60m2? In total ). One of the rooms had a nice view on the sea and the beach. Breakfast was served on the balcony. The location is perfect: Very close to the Dom, the shops, restaurants, the beach and the busses. As driving and parking is a crime along the Amalfi coast, you'd better go by taxi (as we did when we arrived) or by local busses (sita) or ferries. You can buy tickets for 45 minutes (2,40 euro) or 24 hours (7,20 euro) in the tabac shop and go everywhere (Ravello, Positano, Praiano, Sorrento etc)
There is everything to like about Hotel Croce Di Amalfi. Paula the host is an absolute delightful person and very helpful. The accommodation is the cleanest and most comfortable we experienced. The view was to die for. I would recommend this location and accommodation to everyone. Like most places in Amalfi there are a number of stairs to climb but once you are there it is a treat. 5 out of 5 stars.
The location is great ! Just 2 minutes from Piazza del Duomo, 2 minutes from the SITA Stop
It is a really clean hotel that is great and central and has some beautiful views
The shower needs to be resealed as it leaked on every use
I would have liked to be clearer how expensive parking is in Amalfi. I would also have liked to be worn about the numerous steps. You get used to it!
The rooms were very nicely appointed / decorated & the bathroom was large , breakfast was served on the terrace & was lovely !
Helpfull and friendly staff, good location in town, great town, great views.
The bathroom was a bit outdated.
Friendly staff, nice clean rooms, good location.
Tough to get luggage Upton and down from... Lots of steps, but that appears to be typical for the Amalfi coast.
The service was warm and friendly. The room was very clean, with a beautiful view of the coast and town of Amalfi. It was conveniently located near many fine restaurants and shops, yet in a quiet location. A very pleasant little boutique hotel!
It was not the hotel's fault, but WiFi access in Amalfi can be sporadic. The many steps to the hotel are part of the price you pay for the views from the Amalfi coast.
